PlanB is NOT insurance.  PlanB for Health is a self-pay, non-insurance membership program that offers its members savings on medical care (both physician and hospital), prescription drugs (both at the pharmacy and through mail order), vision services, dental services, hearing care, chiropractic and alternative care, and personal counseling. In the past these savings were mainly available to large insurance companies.

How do I locate a participating provider in my area?
Please go to Locate a Provider, or call us toll-free at 800-641-9081.

Who is included in my PlanB for Health membership?
Your PlanB for Health membership can be used by the cardholder's entire immediate family, as many times as needed for the length of the membership.  The yearly savings on just one of these benefits can easily cover the cost of the membership.

How do I receive my savings?
PlanB for Health is a point-of-purchase savings program, so your savings are immediate and at the time of service.  Simply present your PlanB for Health membership card at the time of service to receive your reduced charge.  There are no claim forms or long waiting periods.

How can I pay for my PlanB for Health membership?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. In addition, if you wish to mail your membership application to us, we can automatically deduct the membership fee from your checking or savings account each month. 

When will I receive my PlanB for Health membership kit?
You should receive your PlanB for Health Membership Card and Guide within 10 days of enrolling.

Are there restrictions based on prior medical conditions?
There is never any exclusion for prior medical conditions* with your discount benefits on your PlanB for Health membership.  Because PlanB for Health is not insurance, anyone can join and begin saving today.

*Travel Assistance service will be provided based on the master service agreement.

What if the provider has not heard of PlanB for Health?
PlanB for Health cardholders have access to a nationwide network of providers.  Providers are contracted with these networks and may be more familiar with their names.  If you present your card to the provider, many of the networks are listed on your card and they will recognize the program that you are eligible for as a PlanB for Health member. If there is ever any difficulty please call our customer service number or your local agent.

Where can I use my PlanB for Health membership?
There are over 600,000 health care providers for the PlanB for Health program nationwide.  A personalized provider list is included with each membership kit and is available on this web site. For information on additional provider locations, please call our customer service number or your local agent.

How much can I save?
Savings on doctors and hospitals  can be up to 30%.  Retail prescription drug savings are up to 30%; savings on mail-order prescriptions can be up to 40%. Vision benefits entitle cardholders up to 50% off all vision correction hardware. Chiropractic benefits can save you up to 30%.

Can I cancel my membership?
Yes, you can cancel at any time for any reason by calling our customer service and mailing your PlanB for Health Membership Card back to us by registered mail. When we receive your card your cancellation will take place within seven days.

What if my physician of choice is not part of the network?
We can help you find one near by that can treat you, or you can send us a nomination form for the names of the physicians in your area.

What is a physician network?
A physician network is a group of health care providers that have agreed to provide service to members at a savings.
