 What is PlanB for Health?
PlanB is NOT insurance. PlanB for Health is a self-pay, non-insurance membership program that offers its members savings on medical expenses such as: vision services, dental services, hearing care, with added-value services like: 24-hour nurse, counseling, medical record storage, and patient advocacy. In the past these savings were only available to large insurance companies. Now you can save too.
How do I locate a participating provider in my area?
Members will have a special number to call as well as have listings for local providers in their membrship book. There will be hundreds of providers in every area.
Who is included in my PlanB for Health membership?
Your PlanB for Health membership can be used by the cardholder's entire immediate family. (This includes your spouse and dependents under 18, as well as full time college students under 24 years of age.) The yearly savings on just one of these benefits can easily cover the cost of the membership.
How do I receive my savings?
PlanB for Health is a point-of-purchase savings program, so your savings are immediate at the time of service. Simply present your PlanB for Health membership card at the time of service to receive your reduced charge. There are no claim forms or long waiting periods.
How can I pay for my PlanB for Health membership?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. In addition, we can automatically deduct the membership fee from your checking or savings account. Or you can include a check with your application for a one-year membership and receive a 15% discount on your annual fee. Please remember to include the one-time $20 registration fee.
When will I receive my PlanB for Health membership kit?
You should receive your PlanB for Health Membership Card and Guide within 12 business days of enrolling. If you have an email address, you can receive a temporary card to use in an emergency within 3 to 5 days of enrolling.
Are there restrictions based on prior medical conditions?
There is never any exclusion for prior medical conditions with your discount benefits on your PlanB for Health membership. Because PlanB for Health is not insurance, anyone can join and begin saving today.
What if the provider has not heard of PlanB for Health?
PlanB for Health cardholders have access to a nationwide network of providers. Providers are contracted with these networks and may be more familiar with their names. If you present your card to the provider, many of the networks are listed on your card and they will recognize the program that you are eligible for as a PlanB for Health member. If there is ever any difficulty please call our customer service number or your local agent.
Where can I use my PlanB for Health membership?
There are thousands of health care providers nationwide who give discounts to PlanB for Health members. How much can I save?
Savings will vary by provider and service. On average, members can save from 10-50%
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes, you can cancel at any time, for any reason, by calling our customer service and mailing your PlanB for Health Membership Card back to us by registered mail. When we receive your card your cancellation will take place within seven days.
What is a network?
A network is a group of health care providers that have agreed to provide service to members at a discounted rate. Large insurance companies pay much less for healthcare services. Now you can too.
Can I use this with insurance?
Yes. If your insuance does not cover some of the services we provide discounts on, it would make sense to have this card. This is not a replacement for insurance but will help you save money.
Is there any guarantee?
Yes. You have 30 days to try the plan. If you are not happy you can cancel and even your first month's membership fees will be refunded. (Please note that the one-time enrollment fee covers the cost of shipping and handling and is not refundable.) |
